Guilty Pleasures From The 80s

Bogus, grody, like totally...If any of these strike a chord with you, then these toys will take you back to a time when you took everything to the max, or else you were wiggin’. Whether you were spending hours in front of your TV with Super Mario Bros., having your friends over to watch the newest episode of ALF or simply chugging gallons of Tab to cool down from dancing your heart out in your jellies to Whitney Houston and Paula Abdul, these toys were most likely hanging out in the background. Staples of a decade long gone, we can’t help but love them and every wonderful, cheesy memory they bring up. Lace up those Reebok Pumps and starting walking down memory lane with us.

Magic 8-Ball Game

There is a good reason this black ball of knowledge is first on our list. Advice, fortune telling, conflict resolution, did it all. Though it may have lacked accuracy of Zoltar Speaks from Big, this toy was a fun way to spend time and avoid decision making of any kind. Which kid or teenager wanted to make decisions anyway? If nothing else, the Magic 8-Ball, essentially the Siri of the 80s, showed us how much we love a quick answer. “Magic 8-Ball, can I buy you from the online drugstore?” Yes, definitely. There is a good reason this black ball of knowledge is first on our list. Rubik’s Cube Game

For once the smart kid reigned supreme with the Rubik’s Cube. Separating the herd, this game and its rainbow square of perpetual frustration for the average bear, allowed for those glorious moments of superiority in school. Twisting and turning this square into submission was the reason many of us lost full days in our youth. Total bummer, right? What makes those wasted days even more of a bummer is that people like Mats Valk have solved it in 5.55 seconds. Talking about harshing your smart vibe! Well done anyway, Mats.

Growing up is never fun, like grody to the max, but it happens. Luckily, you can still play with all your old toys thanks to the handy selection of 80s treasures we keep on hand. Online drugstores aren’t just for the boring stuff anymore. Jump on your Pogo Ball and hop all the way back to a time when life was like totally more tubular.
