Halloween Makeup Hacks Using Drugstore Beauty Products Part 2

Do you want to create an eye-catching look this Halloween, but you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on your costume?

If so, you’re in luck, because you don’t have to go out and drop a bunch of cash in order to wow your friends and win costume contests. In fact, there are a plethora of amazing looks that you can recreate without ever having to step foot in a Halloween store or a costume shop. In our last blog, we touched on a few mind-blowing Halloween hacks using drugstore beauty products. Here are a few more:

Freckles

From Pippi Longstocking to Velma from Scooby Doo, there are a ton of great costume ideas that call for freckles. The good news is that, with a little know-how, you can create realistic-looking freckles with products you already have or that you could purchase with your go-to online drugstore.

What you’ll need:

With a very light touch, dab the pencil or eyeliner on your skin randomly. For best results, use two different colors and vary the sizes of your freckles.

Gapped Teeth

Want to be Madonna this Halloween, but you just can’t get your costume to look right because you don’t have that infamous gap in your teeth? You’ll be glad to know that you can create any gapped-tooth look, from Elton John to Ann Paquin, quickly and easily at home.

What you’ll need:

Wipe your two front teeth with a little bit of rubbing alcohol to ensure that they are totally clean before applying the eyeliner. Then, suck in a lot of air until your teeth have completely dried. Once dry, simply apply the eyeliner on the inner part of your two front teeth.

When the night is over and you’re ready to erase your tooth gap, simply wipe it off with rubbing alcohol and a few q-tips.

Disappearing Lips

Need to recreate the shape or size of your lips for your Halloween costume this year? Whether you’re hoping to create fuller lips or smaller lips, you can easily do so by simply covering up your lips with makeup.

What you’ll need:

Using a full-coverage foundation in a color that is a shade or two lighter than your natural skin color, completely cover your lips. Then, apply a translucent powder to your lips. This will create a nice base that you can build off of. From there, you can reshape your lips using a lip pencil or liner, and the lip color of your choice.

Invisible Eye Brows

Want to look extra creepy this Halloween? Getting rid of your eyebrows is one of the easiest ways to amp up the creepiness of your look to 11. And without brows, the costume ideas are endless!

What you’ll need:

Before you do anything, you’ll need to remove as much oil from your brow area as possible, so you’ll want to clean the area using the rubbing alcohol. Keep in mind that, if you’ve recently gotten your eyebrows waxed, the rubbing alcohol is probably going to sting.

Apply the glue stick in the direction of your hair growth, starting inward and working your way toward the outside. You’ll need to apply several layers of the glue; just make sure that you wait for a minute or two between layers to allow the glue to dry.

Using a cosmetic wedge, press the loose powder into the glue. You’re going to need to use a lot of powder to prevent the wedge from sticking to the glue, so don’t be stingy with it. Once covered, dust the excess powder off.

Last but not least, use your foundation to completely cover your eyebrows, making sure to apply it in the direction of your hair growth and blend in your eyebrows with another layer of powder.
